Agora Ministries Street Camp 2011 was held 7/11- 7/16. We had about 65 people from 7 different churches represented who participated in various kinds of ministry, mainly in the westside of San Antonio, 78207. Agora Ministries street campers partnered with the city of San Antonio District 5 Councilman David Medina's office to work in the community. City code compliance employees referred us to 3 different elderly persons whose properties were in desparate need of cleaning. Street campers also worked with the city graffiti clean up team & painted over graffiti on walls of businesses and on city drainage ditches.

Campers attended an evening service at Church Under the Bridge where we served a meal to about 100 homeless people who attended the service. On our trip to Daily Bread Ministries, campers worked in an assembly line to box food packs that would be distributed worldwide. Campers also held 2 days of VBS services for the children in the Alazan Apache Courts. We ended each night with dynamic services and intimate worship where both students and leaders were challenged to draw closer to God and to answer His call on our hearts to His Great Commission (Matt 28:19-20). The students gave up a week of their summer to serve and to be a blessing to those less fortunate than themselves and in turn they were blessed.
